Wireless Shooting
Wireless Shooting to IPAD or Computer
Video Demonstration
CAPTURE:When I capture images wirelessly, here are the steps that occur and the time frame it takes for the transfering of images:
- When I depress the shutter of the camera, the lights flash and while the image is being recorded to the media card in the camera, I get a preview on the back of the camera.
- The Canon Wireless File Transmitter WFT-E2A then sends the file wirelessly to the portable wireless router.
- Then the portable wireless router re-transmits the data to either my IPAD or my computer.
CANON SETTINGS:
The Canon EOS 1DS MKIII camera has 5 different settings that I can pre-configure depending on my wireless and computer choice. Here is how I have mine configured:
- #1 setting is for shooting while using my home WIFI network to my computer.
- #2 setting is for shooting while using my home WIFI network to my IPAD.
- #3 setting is for shooting while shooting anywhere and using my portable WIFI Router to my IPAD.
- #4 setting is for shooting while using my work WIFI network to my IPAD.
- #5 setting is for shooting while using my work WIFI network to my computer.
ADVANTAGES:
- Pre-view images by stretching them for verification of depth of field
- Verify image sharpness
- Confirm exposure and white balance are accurate
- When working with art directors or H/S Seniors mothers, great way for them to preview images and then rate them with a 5 star rating through the ShutterSnitch software.
